COMMUNITY RoyalFamilyKids'Camp : June 25-29 RoyalFamilyKids' Camp (RFKC) is a 5-day overnight camp at a beautiful campground just outside of Christopher Creek. A safe environment is provided for kids as they learn about the love of Jesus, while doing many activities that will create positive memories for them to hold on to throughout the year. If you would like to be a volunteer to help create positive memories in the lives of children in foster care this summer, you can get involved with RFKC and make a difference! A mandatory training day is on June 23. Please stop by the back of the Worship Center for more information from Kim Quade (email@example.com) Also, check out the websites at royalfamilykids.org or chandler.royalfamilykids.org.
Sunday, July 1st - No Gathering There will be no services or programming on July 1, 2018. Why? We believe in and want to model "Margin". So we give a week back to our volunteers, workers and staff - not just to say thank you for your faithful service, but to recharge your batteries, spend time with your family, travel, and most importantly - follow God's example of rest.
NCM - Guatemala Offering
On Sunday, 3 June, the Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala erupted, killing more than 69 people, a number that is expected to rise. Fast-moving avalanches of rock and ash tore down the mountain, reaching temperatures as high as 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit. Villages in three provinces — Chimaltenango, Escuintla, and Sacatepéquez — were covered with ash and debris. The full extent of the damage is still unknown as rescue efforts and rehabilitation have been hindered by further eruptions and rain.
Ways to Help: Pray
Please pray for families and individuals affected by the eruption and subsequent landslides. Pray especially for those who have lost loved ones. Pray for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. Pray for the energy, resilience, and success of the rescue workers and volunteers. Pray for those experiencing trauma, that they would sense God’s peace and presence. Pray for those who are most vulnerable, especially senior adults, individuals with disabilities, and people living in poverty. Pray for church leaders and churches responding to the needs around them. To send a prayer or note of encouragement, go to ncm.org/pray.
Churches and individuals around the world can provide support through the Mesoamerica Disaster Relief fund. Donations will be used to provide for immediate needs, including food, water, and medical supplies, as well as for long-term rebuilding. In the "Church Name" box, enter "Phoenix Renovation, 005-0012".
Online Photo Directory
Renovation's Instant Church Directory is an online way of connecting our Reno community. Since 'Community' is one of our reno values, this is a wonderful opportunity to put a name to a face or reach out to others in our church family. The directory is a secure website that allows only the participants to have access. They create their own personal password to grant entry for future use and an app for your phone makes the directory’s accessibility easier. If you are new to renovation or have yet to sign up to use the directory*, here’s what we need sent to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- A photo (optional but helpful)
- Adult name(s), age groups, and if applicable, child(ren)’s names (oldest to youngest)
- Zip code
*There are also registration cards for the directory that are available at the Info Desk.
